Dig and Grab: Philosophising with and after Foucault [in German]

Abstract

In this talk, I first outline how Michel Foucault’s works have often been buried under time- and context-bound interpretations which do not always translate well to contemporary contexts. I argue for an interpretation focused on his philosophical method, which I describe as a combination of (genealogical) digging and (archaeological) reaching out. Finally, I illustrate the possible benefits of such an interpretation for a political epistemology with and after Foucault.
